Snot City: It’s a Joke

Snot City is now on GameJolt. It’s a game about Snot Lad trying to save Snot City from the incoming spider invasion. It  has half-lovingly drawn art assets, some noises and audio, and reading. It is playable online here, as well as downloadable for the PC.

Its a new year, and last year wasn’t so bad either!

With 2014 already underway, it feels appropriate to give the highlights of 2013 a last nod. Several amazing things happened in ’13. A few of the ones I am most proud of include: the 14 freeware games I assisted in making (both my own projects and others) Don’t Kill the Cow won People’s Choice at GLS 9.0 Don’t Kill the Cow was also accepted to and displayed at Artscape The Duck Game was accepted and displayed at GLS 9.0 An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge was accepted to and displayed at Artscape An Occurrence also won a silver at Serious Play. Children’s Day was accepted for display at the Miami of Ohio Art Museum. In addition, a ton was learned about development and collaborating. While there is much more to learn, I never thought I would ever consider myself a developer, much less one capable of working with so many amazing people, yet here we are. Onward and upward to another amazing year.

[US]SR is up and playable!

After the longest development time I think I’ve ever had, [US]SR is finally available to play on GameJolt. Take on the role of a lone soldier, and experience a war game like none you’ve ever played before. [US]SR features a heroine main character, yet the catch is: you don’t get to play as her. To be honest, the game took about 3 months of actual development time (much was learned as well) . It just took longer to release due to time limitations. Check it out here. Happy Holidays!

RUNNER released

RUNNER is like a peppy little toy dog that is fun for maybe about 30 minutes, and then you wish it would calm down. The point of RUNNER is that even games with amazing attitudes and feedback and pumped full of joy can become grating. (Runner is an infinite runner/idle game hybrid) Hopefully the high score will make some people endure. I pray no one aims for over level 100

RUNNER; coming to a GameJolt near you

The GameJolt page has yet to be built, but if there is anything I’ve learned from making the [US]SR and Crab Dungeon Full of Dungeonous Crabs pages, its that sometimes “finished in a week or two” can mean “finished in half a year or more.” Better to wait until the game is release ready to post it online, than let that nice POP of a new project fizzle. Either way, RUNNER is about as close to launch as it could be. There are just a few elements I want to modify and add before it goes live. Online high score: I’ve never done this before, but thanks to extremely web savvy friends. This should be do-able. Music: there is music in the game, but there is the possibility to replace it or supplement it. More art: Even when the game goes live, there will be more art added periodically, mainly to give the game additional flair. Enjoy screenshots. May they bring you incomprehensible happiness.
